Literally cherry. Not cherries. Two years ago we planted two cherry trees. I could have sworn it was one year ago! The reward though is starting to come in now. We had one singular cherry set and mature this year and we split it for dessert after dinner tonight! I suspect in the coming years we’ll have to net the trees to keep the birds off and will end up with more cherries than we can deal with, but we’ll just have to learn.
I wish I’d have taken a picture. I wasn’t intending to eat it, but I went to test it and it came off the tree clearly ripe and needing eaten…
