241kWh April 2011
April’s weather wasn’t horrible…for April in the Pacific Northwest anyway. Our solar output for the month was comparable to March and June of 2010. Here’s hoping some sunny warm weather finds its way here by summer this year.

A sign of spring to come
Today’s brought yet another inch of rain. But it’s also brought an inch of our first asparagus poking up through the soggy, cold soil!
Cold Frame Salad
We are having our first salad from the greens that I started early in the cold frame!
Our first 8 Egg Day
We got eight eggs from the eight chickens for the first time. As the weather gets better and the days longer we are going to be swimming in eggs.

It rained almost every day in March 2011. We produced even less electricity than in February. But the sun and a day off of work today is almost making up for it.
