68kWH December
It was soooo rainy in December 2010. We recorded 14.68in of rain at our house for the month! With that record high rainfall (supposedly the most since at least 1996) comes a record low for our solar panels…maybe 6-7% of … Continue reading
A mere 81kWh in Nov.
We’re into the really dark days up here between the 45th and 46th parallels. Which translates into looow monthly solar electricity output for our rooftop panels.
198kWh’s
It sure feels like it’s been a rainy month (and it has been in inches), but our solar panels still managed to produce almost 200kWh’s of electricity this month.
232kWh’s in September
The days are getting shorter again and our solar production is tending back down. We’ve had a decent amount of sun lately. I’d love it if mother nature chose to give us a very sunny October. Beyond that making for … Continue reading
5000kWh produced on our roof
I stepped out to grab some lunch and noticed the meter had just hit 5000kWh’s. It’s a gorgeous day out. By the time I was back it had already rolled over to 5001kWh.
August solar production
Our solar panels produced 312kWh’s in August. Respectable, though not as good as last year. The month was similar to this year’s June in some respects…pretty murky weather at times.
Finally a sunny month!
Our solar panels put out 340kWh worth of electricity this month.
Where is summer?
June was very dreary. The solar panels produced only 243kWh’s for the month. Their production last year was starting to approach 100% of what our household consumed. This year that ratio is probably around 30%.
Sunny spring continues to be good for solar production
March in northwest Oregon had a lot of sunny weather again like last month. We produced 227kWh’s of electricity. This month that amounts to about 34% of what our household consumed.
Great February for solar power in Oregon
Our panels produced 173 kWh this month. I don’t actually know what our consumption was, but probably this works out to a production equivalent to something like 25% of our consumption. Not bad for the middle of winter in our … Continue reading
